For a little while, life circumstances feel like the cold days of winter.  Our trials can bring a frigid air that’s hard to adapt to.  But as we learn to surrender our will to the One who made it all and controls it all, we learn to appreciate the beauty of the season.

Nobody wants trouble.  As a matter of fact, we usually pray that trouble won’t come.  But hoping won’t keep the issues away.  In fact, praying won’t keep many issues away.  Our theme verse tells us very clearly that trouble will come.  But when we seek the warmth of His presence, we learn that there is purpose in these trials.  

God has a plan for our winter experience.  We will grow and change and become more useful participants because we’ll learn to see our circumstances His way (if we choose to).

The Son shines in the midst of winter.  His presence reminds us that what we’re dealing with will only last for a time.  He will usher in our spring season and we will find that we’ve become more mature in the way we view life and our issues.  We’ll learn that waiting on The Lord has great benefits and our change will come… in a little while.
