Praying to God

Getting God’s Attention

Cry Out!

Getting God’s Attention

He does not ignore those who cry for help.

Psalm 9:12b (NLT)

When we cry out, “Lord, help me!”, we get God’s attention and He comes to our rescue.  He never disappoints.

We ask God to change our circumstances, lighten our loads, hear our prayers, and be our Vindicator.  We go to Him in prayer, too long after grief has bent our backs, and He hears us anyway.

God patiently waits for opportunities to demonstrate His loving kindness.  Out of His wisdom, love and compassion, He gives a well-resourced response to the cries of His children.  He doesn’t give us what we deserve. Instead, He gives us what we could never use currency to buy– His tender mercies.  When we trust Him, He brings us to an upright position, even through suffering, so that we can bear the load and become witnesses to those who need hope.

God’s racham, or tender mercies, are beyond our comprehension.  He longs to share His most precious reserves with us, to love on us, and to shelter and protect us.  He is the God who extends His mercy, delivers His peace, and sends His justice.  He renews our joy when we call out to Him.

We have the privilege of getting God’s attention.  So, cry out often.  Ask Him for help, for justice, and for strength to make it through another day.

We can get God’s attention by:

Petition God to open and close doors, restore family finances, and bring children home.  When the weight of the issues are on us, we have relief.  We can cry out and get God’s attention.

Prayer

Lord, we need your help today more than we did yesterday.  Hear our prayer, respond to our deepest need, and provide the kind of relief that restores and refreshes our souls.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Live well,
Michele

  2. Michele, I love the new website. I am so glad I have a Father that hears my cries and answers me when I call out to Him. His voice is calming and assuring allowing me to surrender my will for His.
